The cover hangs magnetically on a mounting rail around your existing unit. Nothing about the air conditioner changes, and for the filter you lift the cover off in seconds.
Screw the mounting rail above your unit, using the template that comes with the cover. Two screws, one spirit level.
Hang the cover on the rail. The magnets pull it into place, so it hangs straight and silent.
Your air conditioner works as before: air passes freely through the front and blows out beneath the cover.

Cleaning works the way you're used to. Lift the cover straight up off the rail, clean the filter and hang it back. No tools needed.
Service engineer coming round? They do the same. The cover isn't attached to the unit anywhere.
